What I Eat Before Work When I’m Short on Time

Sometimes, mornings are just too busy for a complicated breakfast.

There are mornings when I have plenty of time to prepare breakfast, but there are also days when everything feels rushed. I still need to get ready for work, take care of things at home, and make sure I don't leave too late.

Because of that, I don't always prepare the same breakfast every day.

I usually choose something simple that I can prepare without spending too much time in the kitchen. I also like bringing a bottle of plain water with me because drinking water is something I try to remember throughout the day.

For breakfast or something to take with me before work, these are some of the simple choices I often have.

Boiled Eggs Are One of My Go-To Choices

One of the easiest things for me to prepare is boiled eggs.

I often choose boiled eggs when I want something simple and don't have much time in the morning. I can prepare them beforehand, so I don't have to spend too much time making breakfast before leaving.

Sometimes I have boiled eggs on their own. If I have boiled corn or sweet potatoes at home, I may add one of them too.

I don't really follow a strict menu. I just look at what I have at home and choose whatever feels practical that morning.

Sometimes, I Just Bring Fruit

There are also mornings when I don't prepare anything complicated at all.

If there is fruit at home, I may simply take some with me before going to work. It can be whatever fruit happens to be available.

I like this option because it is easy. I don't need to cook anything or spend a lot of time preparing it.

Some days are just like that. I keep things simple and work with what I already have at home.

Chia Seeds, Milk, Yogurt, and Fruit

When I have a little more time, I sometimes make chia seeds with milk, yogurt, and fruit.

This takes a little more preparation than boiled eggs or fresh fruit, but it is still quite simple.

I usually combine the chia seeds with milk and yogurt, then add some fruit on top.

The fruit depends on what I have at home. I don't always use the same kind, so I can change it depending on what is available.

I like having this when I want something different from my usual breakfast.

Oatmeal with Milk and Fruit

Another simple option I sometimes have is oatmeal with milk and fruit.

I like oatmeal because I can prepare it without making the morning feel more complicated. I can also add fruit that I already have at home.

Sometimes I use banana, while on another day I might choose a different fruit.

For me, simple breakfasts like this are useful on busy mornings because I don't need to think too much about what to prepare.

I Don't Have the Same Breakfast Every Day

My breakfast doesn't really follow a fixed routine.

Some mornings, I have boiled eggs. If there is corn or sweet potato, I may have one of those too.

If there is fresh fruit at home, I can simply bring some fruit.

When I have more time, I might prepare chia seeds with milk, yogurt, and fruit. Oatmeal with milk and fruit is another option I enjoy.

And no matter what I bring, I usually remember to bring plain water with me.

I don't think breakfast has to look perfect every morning. Sometimes, keeping things simple is what makes a routine easier to maintain.

Keeping Breakfast Simple Works for Me

Working mornings can be unpredictable.

There are days when I have enough time to sit down and enjoy breakfast. On other days, I have to move quickly and just prepare something before leaving.

That's why I prefer having a few simple choices instead of following a strict breakfast plan.

Boiled eggs, corn, sweet potatoes, fresh fruit, chia seeds with milk and yogurt, or oatmeal with milk and fruit are all options I can choose from depending on the day.

Nothing fancy. Just simple food that fits into my everyday routine.

For me, that's what makes a breakfast routine easier.

What about you? What do you usually eat when you have a busy morning before work?
